Who I Am

Hi, I’m Deborah, an independent celebrant, wife, mum, dog‑owner, keen gardener, and a wholehearted believer that life should be celebrated in all its beautiful, messy, funny, tender and extraordinary forms.

My path into celebrancy grew from 15 years of supporting corporate leaders in a global company, before turning my focus to people’s most meaningful moments.

Like most people, I’ve lived through highs and lows, love, loss, laughter, chaos, and the “well… that was unexpected!” chapters.

All those experiences have taught me how to listen deeply, understand quietly, and support others at their most significant moments with empathy and confidence.

I bring calm, humour, and a clear process that helps you feel supported from the first conversation to the final words on the day.

Whether it’s a wedding, funeral, celebration of life, renewal of vows, or a naming ceremony, I create ceremonies that feel alive – never stiff or scripted. No templates. No assumptions.

My focus and style are always the same: to honour with warmth, authenticity, and intention, creating something both meaningful and memorable, with room for personality, storytelling, and the kind of laughter that puts everyone at ease.

People often tell me they appreciate my balance of warmth and professionalism – that I bring structure without formality, and heart without fuss.

Based in Bruton, Somerset, I’m inspired by the landscape, creativity, and community around me.  My ceremonies often carry that same feeling: natural, elegant, grounded, and quietly beautiful.

What I offer is simple:

A ceremony with heart.

A process with support.

And a moment held in time – warm, true and beautifully yours, a moment to be remembered not just for how it looked, but how it felt.
